Christian served as Ward Councillor for Burpham on Guildford Borough Council between May 2011 and May 2019. "Burpham continues to face many challenges in the coming years and I look forward to continuing to assist residents where possible."

Ahead of the events being held in Guildford town centre on Remembrance Sunday, I helped the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal 2014 in central Guildford today. Sunday’s events will including a Service of Remembrance at Holy Trinity Church and civic procession down the High Street, culminating in a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial in the Castle Grounds.

The Burpham Neighbourhood Forum submitted its Neighbourhood Plan to Guildford Borough Council on 31st October 2014. The Plan contains a range of policies to help shape the future development of Burpham. The Forum, a non-party political group, was the first Forum to be established within Guildford Borough. The Plan will be put out to consultation in due course, examined by an Independent examiner and then voted on by Burpham residents in a referendum. You can view the Plan at the Burpham Forum Website
