The appeal will be heard before an Inspector by way of a Public Inquiry to be held in 2014 (Date to be arranged).</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Following refusal of planning permission for a supermarket on the Green Man site by Guildford Borough Council May, Aldi has submitted submitted an appeal to the Secretary of State. In addition, the company has indicated it is likely to submit a slightly revised planning application to Guildford Borough Council for consideration in an attempt to overcome the reasons for refusal. Some residents may have received a leaflet from Aldi regarding their proposed changes.</p>
<p>At the current time the appeal has not been registered and no planning application has been received. Details of both the appeal and new planning application will be posted here when available.</p>

<p>Members of the public are welcome to attend, speak for or against the proposal or just watch proceedings from the public gallery. The site is prominently located in the heart of Burpham and it is essential that we get the right sort of development here.</p>
